Biography

EMILY M. CHRIM is a Latina sole proprietor and Attorney at the Law Office of Emily M. Chrim in Stockton, CA. Her practice was established in 2015 and includes representation in the areas of Criminal Defense, Immigration and Personal Injury law. As a child and young adult, Emily witnessed several members of her own family succumb to the injustice in the "justice" systems in both criminal and immigration courts. The feeling of helplessness during those times drove her passion and pushed her to become who she is today, a zealous advocate for her clients in the courtroom.

In 2005, Emily Chrim graduated from Florida Metropolitan University with an A.A. in Criminal Justice. After moving to California and working in the criminal justice field for several years, she went back to school to further her degree in Criminal Justice. She graduated from Humphreys College in 2010 and went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Laurence Drivon School of Law in 2014. While in Law School, she served as the President of the Student Bar Association and Executive Board Member of the Delta Theta Phi Fraternity.

Emily Chrim was admitted to practice law in California in 2014. She was admitted to practice law in the Federal Immigration Courts and in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California in 2015. She is a member of the San Joaquin County Bar Association, Member of the Women Lawyers Section. She has been a featured speaker at conferences on the topic of United States Immigration Law and received the Lawyers of Distinction award in 2020 for Excellence in Criminal Defense Law.
